Meet Elvina…

Buying a new home can be both exciting and scary at the same time. We understand the buying process can feel overwhelming, which is why we want to introduce to you the face you will be seeing at our Presentation Centre. Meet Elvina, Sales Manager at The Loop.

As a resident of the area herself, Elvina knows firsthand everything that South Surrey has to offer. Looking to relocate from Richmond with her family, Elvina gravitated to the family-friendly neighborhood that South Surrey offers, particularly for its beaches, parks, and outdoor amenities. It was the perfect environment to raise her young children, a quick drive to major highways and the US border for a quick shopping trip! What was also important for her family was living in an area with highly rated schools and day care facilities, and so they found themselves packing up to move and have loved it here ever since!

On weekends Elvina and her family love to take strolls with their dog Romeo at the Dogwood dog park, run the 1000 steps at Ocean Park, visit the fairy houses at Redwood Park forest, or hit up the White Rock Farmers market. A sunset paddle board at Crescent Beach followed by dinner at The Cabin is one of her family favorites.

Elvina is thrilled to join The Loop team, and really believes in our community. When we asked her why she felt that The Loop was special, her response was:
“I believe The Loop is a standout community because from the outside in, every detail was thought out and carefully planned. It’s family oriented and really integrates the existing nature with the protected green spaces and trees. The home options will really help people get into the market and build a smart financial legacy for themselves. Gramercy Development’s projects in South Surrey keep strong resale values and continue to look better and better each year with such thoughtful long term landscaping and timeless exteriors. I love that everything is so walkable so that homeowners can pop into the shops at Morgan Crossing, or take their kids to the Grandview pool that mine love so much”.

We look forward to welcoming you to our community this fall! Keep your eyes out for updates, and should you have questions in the meantime do not hesitate to reach out.

Welcome To The Loop!

Introducing South Surrey’s most charming and coveted new address.
The Loop is a neighborhood of 194 townhomes with amazing amenities. We’re often asked the inspiration behind the naming of THE LOOP, and it really comes down to the lay of the land. Originally planned as two separate parcels of land with a road down the middle, Gramercy Development’s really believed in maintaining the integrity of the existing landscape with its vast foliage and old growth trees, envisioning a spectacular communal space for people to enjoy the outdoors, so they created a community around it. They found themselves continually referring to the loop that would flow around the heart of the community that homeowners would be able to congregate in, and so the community became named The Loop.

On the exteriors, you’ll appreciate visually striking modern tudor inspired homes with stunning rooflines, exposed brick, and long-lasting design features. The timeless exterior architecture provided award winning Kleen Design Studio inspiration when curating the interiors. From the ground up and down to the smallest of details, everything was methodically hand-picked. Residents will appreciate quality finishes like a desk area/breakfast bar, ample storage, and durable Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring with optional herringbone finish.

Living in The Loop, everything is at your fingertips. On any given day, you could go from dipping your toes in the ocean at Crescent Beach after a morning jog, to brunch at one of the incredible local restaurants nearby, or what about an afternoon taking the kids through the “lazy river” at the Grandview Heights pool, picking up that last minute bottle of wine for your girl’s night at The Shops at Morgan Crossing, and then entertaining in the comfort of your own home. Life is good at The Loop.

Foreign Buyers Tax Update

In recent real estate news, the Foreign Buyers Tax has been removed for those with work permits.

In August 2016, the government announced a Foreign Buyers tax that added an automatic 15 percent levy to foreigners purchasing residential property in Metro Vancouver. While the tax was brought in to help slow down out-of-control real estate prices, it also negatively affected those with work permits who were wanting to live and work in the region. There’s good news for this group though: the government recently removed the Foreign Buyers tax for people with valid work permits. This opens up opportunities for them to invest in real estate in our area meaning they can also have a place to call home.
